Research on psychedelics has mainly highlighted their plausible therapeutic potential and effects through mind related mechanisms. However, as much as Descartes tried, we cannot separate the mind from the body. They are connected. Therefore, future research should place further emphasis on the researching the effects of psychedelics on the body and vice versa.
